Arrival & Parking
Messnerhütte is located in the beautiful Gsiesertal. You can reach us conveniently by car to the Talschluss parking lot, or park at Rotmoos for a pleasant hike.
Rotmoos Parking
Closer to the hutSmaller parking lot with traffic light regulation. In peak season often accessible only until 9:00/10:00 AM (when full, the light turns red).

Main parkingThe large main parking lot further down the valley. Always accessible and the perfect starting point for a longer hike.

Standard Trail (Nr. 49)
The classic ascent from Talschluss. Wide, well-maintained, and with sections suitable for strollers.
Squirrel Trail
An adventurous path through the forest, especially exciting for children. Discover nature up close.
Circular Trail (Nr. 53)
A scenic circular trail with wonderful views of the Gsiesertal.
Also by Bike
By bike, you can simply follow the Gsiesertal cycling path to Talschluss, then take trail 49 until you reach Messnerhütte. The ride isn't too long and the path is mostly paved, so you can also reach the hut with a stroller without any problems.

The Route
Experience winter magic on our toboggan run, which starts directly at the picturesque Messnerhütte. The route leads you along the idyllic trail 49 to the Rotmoos parking lot.
A perfect descent through snowy forests – ideal for families and nature lovers.
Important Info
No sled rental at the hut. Sleds can be rented at the ski lift at Talschluss.
